About Rana
Content strategist, writer and AI search visibility specialist
Helping brands get found, understood and chosen.
Hi, I’m Rana (pronounced rahhh-nahhh). I’m a content strategist and writer who helps organizations turn complex ideas into clear, useful content—and make that content easier to discover in an increasingly AI-driven world.
My work sits at the intersection of content strategy, SEO, AEO/GEO, UX, and storytelling. I think about what people search for, what they need to understand before they can act, and how to structure content so it performs across traditional search, AI-powered search, and large language models (LLMs).
That means I don’t just ask, What should we say? I ask: What does the audience need? What questions are they really asking? What will build trust? And how do we make sure the right answer gets found?
My liberal arts background at McGill University gave me a lasting love of research, analysis, languages and storytelling—and a knack for making complicated subjects feel clear and human. Studying languages also gave me an appreciation for the nuances of communicating across cultures and audiences.
An early career in corporate communications taught me how to navigate stakeholders and business priorities, while my years as a certified yoga therapist sharpened something equally valuable: the ability to listen deeply.
Over the past decade, I’ve brought those skills together to create and shape digital content for financial services, government, nonprofits, SaaS platforms and other organizations navigating complex information and changing audience expectations.
Today, I’m especially interested in the evolution from traditional SEO to answer engine optimization and generative engine optimization: helping brands create credible, well-structured content that can earn visibility not only in search results, but in the AI-generated answers increasingly shaping how people discover information and make decisions.
What I do
Strategy, content and visibility for the way people search now
Great content still starts with understanding people. But being useful isn’t enough if your audience never finds you.
I help organizations create clearer, more authoritative digital content—and build the strategy and structure around it that helps people, search engines and AI platforms understand what they have to offer.
My work can begin with a single page, an existing content ecosystem or a bigger question: How should our content evolve as search changes?
Content strategy and audits
Evaluate existing content, uncover gaps and opportunities, and develop a strategy aligned with audience needs and business goals.
SEO, AEO and AI visibility
Create and optimize content for traditional search and AI-powered discovery, with an emphasis on search intent, clear answers, authority and structure.
Website and UX content
Turn complex information into intuitive, human-centered digital experiences—from messaging and page copy to information architecture and user journeys.
Copywriting and editorial content
Write clear, compelling website copy, articles, guides, FAQs and other content designed to inform, persuade and inspire action.
Thought leadership
Turn subject-matter expertise into substantive content that demonstrates authority, answers meaningful questions and gives both people and AI systems something worth finding.
Brand voice and messaging
Clarify what your organization wants to say, how it should sound and how that voice translates consistently across digital experiences.
Content governance and team support
Create frameworks, standards and guidance that help teams produce stronger, more consistent content at scale.
My story
A different kind of content strategist
My path to content strategy wasn’t entirely conventional—and that’s part of what I bring to the work.
Before building my career in digital content, I worked in corporate communications and later spent years as a certified yoga therapist and educator. Teaching taught me to listen closely, recognize what isn’t being said and translate complex ideas for very different audiences.
Those skills turned out to be remarkably relevant to digital strategy.
What began with building and marketing my own wellness business evolved into a career helping other organizations communicate more effectively. Along the way, I’ve learned that the best content rarely starts with writing. It starts with listening, asking better questions, understanding the audience and finding the signal in all the noise.
Today, I pair that deep listening with research, analytics, UX thinking, search strategy and an understanding of how AI is changing the way information gets discovered.
Technology changes. Human beings still want clarity, relevance and answers they can trust.
I work at the intersection of both.
